Research direction: history of Chinese ancient architecture
Sun Xiaoqian is an Assistant Research Fellow of the Key Scientific Research Base (Southeast University) of National Cultural Heritage Administration for Research on Traditional Wood Structure Construction Techniques, and member of the China ICOMOS China. She is mainly engaged in research on ancient Chinese architectural history and the protection of architectural heritage.
She has presided over 1 youth fund under research of National Natural Science Foundation of China and participated in a number of national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects and heritage protection and design practices.
