Professor GU Daqing is an internationally-renowned architect and architectural educator. He has made outstanding achievements in the fields of architectural education and design teaching and written a number of architecture and design-related teaching monographs which greatly promote the reform and development of contemporary architecture teaching.His primary academic interest lies in the essence of architectural education: how to make methods of design teachable. It is further supported by the following four areas of study: Architectural education, Design pedagogy, Design theory and method, and Hong Kong architecture.
