Research Interests: Urban Regeneration; Innovation District Development

Yixing Duan received his B.Arch. and M.Arch. from the School of Architecture at Southeast University and his Ph.D. from the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on urban regeneration and the development of innovation districts, with an emphasis on data-driven and AI-assisted urban design methods.

His work develops quantitative evaluation frameworks to investigate the coupling relationship between innovation spaces and urban spatial systems, exploring how technological innovation contributes to improvements in urban spatial quality. His research has been published in journals including City Planning Review and received the Third Prize in the National Young Urban Planning Paper Competition.

He has participated in several urban regeneration and urban design projects, including the urban design of the core section of Chang’an Avenue and the regeneration project of Xixinglong Street in the Qianmen area.
