The architecture discipline of Southeast University, founded in 1927, is the origin of modern architecture education in China. Adhering to the motto of “striving for perfection”, its development continues to lead the higher education on architecture in China, and has produced major international influence. This discipline is a first-level disciplinary doctorate-accredited field and a first-level disciplinary national key discipline, i.e. a national “double first-class” built discipline, which was rated as an A+ discipline in 2016 discipline evaluation (tied for first place in China).
