365英国上市集团建筑运算与应用团队(Laboratory of Architectural Algorithms & Applications, 简称:Lab. AAA), 是以建筑学学科为依托的国家级建筑生成设计、数控建造及物理计算教学科研创新平台。其前身是计算机辅助建筑设计国家专业实验室。
Lab. AAA紧密结合国际建筑数字技术研究现状,及时跟进计算机、人工智能等相关领域技术的发展,有效运用并不断拓展建筑与城市设计的方法;同时通过数字建造、互动设计等技术的研究,扩展现代建筑创作、城市设计、遗产保护等方向的教学与研究。Lab. AAA的研究队伍思想活跃,思维超前,掌握着国际先进的建筑数字和建造技术。
近年来团队承担数十项国家自然科学基金项目,国家自然科学基金重点项目,参与了十三五科技支撑计划,十四五国家重点专项等科研项目;获得多项发明专利和软件著作权;获国家百篇优秀博士论文提名,获得江苏省优秀硕士论文,江苏省优秀毕业设计,华夏科技进步奖一等奖,UNIESCO亚太遗产保护奖等奖励。
面向行业重大转型,团队在未来将关注人工智能技术支持的生成设计与数字建造。主要研究将集中在 1) 建构基于网络智能建筑/城市设计方法体系;2)实现基于空间智能的自适应自主建造;3)探索基于强化学习的建筑运维系统;4)历史地段保护与城市更新中的数字技术应用等方面。
Introduction to the Laboratory of Architectural Algorithms & Applications (Lab. AAA)
The Laboratory of Architectural Algorithms & Applications (Lab. AAA) at the School of Architecture, Southeast University, is a national innovation platform for teaching and research in generative architectural design, digital fabrication and physical computation, based on the discipline of architecture. Its predecessor was the National Specialized Laboratory of Computer-Aided Architectural Design (CAAD).
Lab. AAA closely integrates with the current international research status of digital technology in architecture, keeps pace with advancements in computer science, artificial intelligence, and related fields, and effectively applies and continuously expands the methods of architectural and urban design. At the same time, through the research of digital fabrication, interactive design and other technologies, the Lab expands its teaching and research in modern architectural creation, urban design and heritage conservation. The research team of Lab. AAA has an active mindset, forward-thinking ideas, and mastery of internationally advanced digital design and fabrication technologies in architecture.
In recent years, the team has undertaken dozens of projects, including the Key Program and General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, participated in the National Science and Technology Support Program during the 13th Five-Year Plan Period, and the National Key Research and Development Program of China during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period and other scientific research projects. The team has obtained multiple invention patents and software copyrights, nominated for the National 100 Excellent Doctoral Dissertations, and won numerous awards, including the Excellent Master's Thesis of Jiangsu Province, the Outstanding Graduation Design of Jiangsu Province, the First Prize of the China Award for Science and Technology in Construction, UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation.
In response to significant industry transformations, the team will focus on AI-supported generative design and digital fabrication in the future. The key research will focus on:
1) Developing architectural and urban design methodologies based on web intelligence,
2) Achieving adaptive autonomous construction based on spatial intelligence,
3) Exploring building operation and maintenance system based on reinforcement learning,
4) Applying digital technologies in the conservation of historic areas and urban renewal.
